Thanks for the reply. The last time mxit for iPhone was released was in December 2009. That's way too long with clients not being able to communicate properly with mxit. I have gone from a mxit king to not even wanting to log onto mxit because of all the problems. I am personally thinking of creating my own lib purple pidgin plugin for mxit so it can make my life that much easier. Could the public get a eta for the iPhone release Even if you say next year sometime ( atleast we will know. ) - frustrated java / iPhone / php developer

    Agree!! x100 8-)
And multitasking more important than the other stuff, please

We can't give a eta on the new mxit, as we are not primited to do it, and as we also dont know anything about it.
There will be a announcement when it is available.

Well i think that not including multitasking in the new app it will be a total fail, i have only read negative comments about this app. Please go to the app store and read reviews about this product, mxit was a good idea but if its poorly implemented on other platforms except J2me ( which is a very outdated technology ) . Mxit should consider doing a update soon and consider releasing a eta of time of app delivery as they do for new versions of mxit. ( i.e saying within the next 4mnths we will release a update ) .

Thanks and i am not complaining merely making suggestions to make your product a better one

    Hi guys

I've sat down with development who has assured me that 1.4 is in the workshop...

I'll get one of the developers to post a bit more info in a while.

    Greetings,

As previously stated, multitasking will not be implemented just yet. There is, however, a number of other features that are being added.

There were a few minor issues that needed to be fixed and the new version is back in beta testing and hopefully going to be in QA shortly as well.

Any updates regarding this release will be posted on the forum.

    Regards,
    D

    Hi

Thanks for the update. Personally I can live with the minor bugs. I would rather you roll out a version with multi-tasking then roll out "extra" features...

The OS4 update has been out for over a month. Most of the applications I use on my phone have updated to support OS4 and multi-tasking. To say that "multi-tasking" wont be implemented just yet is not the news I would have liked to hear.

Either way I guess your focus on iPhone support is not as strong as on other devices hence the slow delivery times. Not much we can do about it I guess. We as supporters of your product are at the mercy of your developers.

Be nice, work hard and try to deliver.

    Thanks,
    Moosa

    Hi guys.

Please please Update the Mxit for iPhone App. Surely seeing the demand from the many iphone users that have posted on the iphone for mxit forum should warrant some attention.

After Upgrading to OS4 I lost the emoticons button which is a huge pain, and I see i'm not the only one.

Within hours of OS4 being released many apps had already released a multi-tasking update. Why is mxit taking so long?

Please don't leave your users in the dark and give us some sort of updates.

    Much appreciated.

    Hi Guys

Your requests are not going unnoticed. I have asked that one of the guys from the development team have a look into this and get back to you guys.

    Regards,

    ---Edit

I have just been told that the new version has been sent off to Apple for approval to be added to the iStore.

So the ball is in their court guys, it should be up soon.
Unfortunately I cannot say exactly when it will be available.

    Cheers
