hi i cant get mxit on my i600 because it is not listed so can sum1 plz tell me how 2 get it!

To get MXit working on your phone, please do the following:

First you'll have to get a JVM for your phone:
    1. Open your phone's default wap browser.
    2. Go to http://tinyurl.com/327ych
(If that URL doesn't work, please go to http://handheld.softpedia.com/get/Emulators/IBM-MIDP-2-0-Java-Emulator-38910.shtml )
    3. Download the IBM MIDP 2.0 Java Emulator
    4. Once the download has completed, install the IBM MIDP 2.0 Java Emulator on your phone
Then you'll need to download a suitable version of MXit:
    1. Open your phone's default wap browser
    2. Go to http://m.mxit.com
    3. Select "Download MXit"
    4. Select "Other phone"
    5. Select "Samsung" and press "Accept"
    6. Select "Other" and press "Accept"
    7. Follow the remaining on-screen steps to download MXit.
    8. Once the download has completed, return to your phone's standby screen
Do the following to run MXit:
    1. Open the IBM MIDP 2.0 Java Emulator
    2. Select MXit from the list of available applications

Did you install the IBM MIDP 2.0 Java Emulator on your phone after downloading it? You shouldn't get that error message if you have installed it.

Is there any way that you could fix us a generic version for i600 that can use skin or maybe even a generic version with a skin. The default is so ugly and tiring.

Please follow the steps which I provided at the top of this page (follow the steps from 'Then you'll need to download a suitable version of MXit' onwards).

ok i get mxit working with the samung other version. then i have the problem of this: i keep getting disconnected. it works fine then it goes from HSDPA to 3G and i get disconnected then it just loses any data connection and shows the normal signal in the top right corner instead of H or 3G. is there a way to set it to just use 3G or Edge?

i found no problem with the wm6 from samsung. I have down louded a couple of them and they are all the same upgrade. and in the language settings UK is there.

At modaco they talk about it
